The symbolism of breaking a wishbone for good luck dates back to the Etruscan period. This tradition spread to Rome and then the rest of Europe. This idea filtered through to the jewellery trade, who started to produce the wishbone ring as a symbol of love, hope and luck for the wearer. This example is set with emeralds and eight cut diamonds.
